General & Preventative Dentistry

Your Initial Appointment

Personalised Consultation

During your initial visit (which will last approximately 45 minutes), our friendly receptionists will ask you to fill out a “New Patient Registration Form.” Then you will meet the dentist who will take the time to get to know you, your dental history and needs and address any concerns you might have.

Check Up

Next is the clinical examination so the dentist can have a stronger understanding of your current dental condition. This is done through a thorough check up and clean and often, x-rays if needed. If you’ve had x-rays done elsewhere in the past 12 months, it would be great if you could bring them!

Treatment Plans

If there are any dental issues that need to be treated, the dentist will discuss the issue with you and outline the pros and cons of the available treatment options for your case. If there are no issues, we will recommend you to come back in 6 months for your regular dental check up.

General and Preventative Dentistry

The aim of preventative dentistry is to prevent future dental and general health as well as future costs for treatments. The Australian Dental Association (ADA) recommends all patients to attend a dental check up every 6 months so it’s never too late to start seeing a dentist regularly. If you only see a dentist when your teeth are in pain, most of the time, it is already too late. If a dental problem is discovered at an earlier stage, prevention is easier and treatment is less costly. Remember, most oral health issues can be prevented so it is important to see a dentist regularly. We understand that life can get in the way so we send out recalls to our patients to remind them when it’s time for their biannually dental check up.

We also offer a wide range of dental services such as:

  • Gum disease: healthy gums are vital to your overall dental health and wellbeing. If detected early and treated with quality care, it can be controlled.

  • Fillings: we offer a range of options including tooth coloured fillings, we will do our best to ensure that the colour of the filling accurately matches your existing tooth to maximise the appearance of your teeth.

  • Root Canals (endodontics): the treatment of infection in the tooth nerve. The procedure will include removal of the nerve, control of the infection and restoration of the tooth. This is usually the optimal method to prevent extractions however each case is different and the dentist will recommend treatment options to your best interest.

  • Dentures: if you’ve got missing teeth and want to improve the appearance, a denture is the best option for you! Our dentures are carefully crafted so that they will fit comfortably in your mouth.
